Email everywhere@swimmingsimply.com. Tell us your phone model, the swim (stroke, distance, pool length) and what went wrong. A screenshot helps.
Film a swim the app can read
- Film from the side. Stand on the deck or in the stands beside the lane. From behind the blocks, the strokes and the walls are hard to see.
- Keep the swimmer in the frame. Zoom out enough to see the whole length, or pan with the swimmer from wall to wall.
- Hold the phone sideways and steady. Rest your elbows on a rail or tuck them in.
- Film the whole swim. Start before the dive or push-off and stop after the last touch, with one swimmer you can see clearly from start to finish.
- Add the pool length every time. Every speed and distance is worked out from it. The lane helps us find the swimmer, and the official time, splits and reaction time from the results let us line your video up with the official timing. You can add the results later.
The app shows the same tips, with pictures, right after setup.
When the count looks wrong
Open the swim and check the strokes: you can add or remove any stroke the software placed, and your corrections are what the app uses. If the marks were off, re-mark the swim. The count runs on our servers, and during the beta it can take up to a few days.
Delete your account
In the app, go to Swims, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account and swims. You confirm twice, then every swim, video and analysis is deleted from our servers and from your phone. Deleting the app on its own does not delete your account. If you no longer have the app and you signed in with Apple or Google, email us from that address and we will delete the account for you.
