• Name, email address, and phone number when you create an account or apply as an instructor.
• Lesson preferences, availability, and location information.
• Payment information processed securely through Stripe (we do not store card details).
• Communications you send through the platform.

We also collect information automatically, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to improve the platform.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Match clients with swim instructors.
• Schedule lessons and send confirmations and reminders.
• Process payments.
• Send transactional SMS messages to instructors who have opted in (see SMS section below).
• Improve and maintain the platform.
• Comply with legal obligations.

SMS & Text Messaging

Swimming Everywhere sends transactional SMS messages to two groups of users who have explicitly opted in:

Instructors

Instructors who check the SMS consent checkbox on the application form at https://www.swimmingeverywhere.com/apply may receive:

• Secure sign-in links (magic links) to access their instructor account.
• Onboarding reminders to complete their instructor profile and setup.
• Account notifications related to their instructor status.

Clients

Clients who check the SMS consent checkbox during account setup or on the booking form may receive:

• Lesson reminders before upcoming scheduled lessons.
• Schedule updates such as cancellations or rescheduled lesson times.

All SMS users

• We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
• We do not share or sell your phone number to third parties for marketing purposes.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Message frequency varies based on account activity.
• To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any message.

Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g., Twilio for SMS, Stripe for payments, Resend for email) — these providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own marketing purposes.
• Other users on the platform as necessary to facilitate lessons (e.g., sharing an instructor's name and contact info with a matched client).
• Law enforcement or regulators when required by law.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at everywhere@swimmingsimply.com. Colorado residents and residents of other states with applicable privacy laws have additional rights including data portability and the right to opt out of data processing for targeted advertising.
