In or out of the water, working with kids is my passion. I love to make lessons fun and engaging while still teaching important life-long and life-saving skills. I can teach swimmers of all ages, but my sweet spot is 18 mo - 12 yrs. "Lauren is an inspiration. She saves lives" -Lauren's 98 year-old grandmother - Swam and played Water Polo in HS and College - Taught Special Education for 4 years - Swam from Alcatraz to SF in 2025 and doing it again in 2026! - Completed 3 sprint triathlons

Coaching Philosophy

It's important to keep things fun while still teaching kids to respect the water and be safe in and around it.

Favorite Drills

I love singing songs with the little ones! For older kids, I like to have them balance a rubber ducky on their head while they swim backstroke to focus on having a still head/body.

Fun Facts

I'm a crafting cat lady! I have 2 kitties that I love to cuddle and spoil. I am a grandma at heart and enjoy crocheting, kitting, and sewing (although the cats often mess with my supplies).
